| Us with one of our members, Hermana E***, on her birthday |

Hello
to my wonderful friends and family! From your emails it sounds like y'all are
keeping real busy. That's so fun! I love hearing about all the things going on
in your lives.
This week has been
weird. We have had many adventures and miracles
Friday I had a Split
with Sister Neria. She is in the English program and is also training. She's
the transfer behind me. So this was her very first split. She came to our area
for the day and I was a little bit nervous about taking over the area since I would
have to teach all 5 lessons we had planned that day in Spanish, alone. Turns
out it wasn't a problem because all of our appointments fell through at the
last minute so we ended up doing look ups all day. I felt so bad! It was her
first split ever and all we did was walk and walk and walk (but we did as the
pioneer children and sang as we walked). But she had such a good attitude about
it and she actually was really fun to talk to be with for the day. She is a
really hard worker so even though all we did was knock on door after door she
stayed positive and happy and was a really joy to be around.
Saturday was Women's
Conference. We listened to it in Spanish with our ward so.... I couldn't really
understand it so I didn't get a lot out of it... But I'm sure it was really
good. I'm really looking forward to re-reading the talks when they come out.
Tuesday was
another split. This time with Sister Clark. She's also still training and this
was only her second split. But luckily this time we got to teach a few lessons
instead of only doing look ups all day.
We had a lesson with
Miriam, who I haven't really talked about but she is a miracle. She's on nap
date for this next week Sunday, October 8th. We found her 2 weeks ago at
the grandma's house of one of our other investigators, Esmeralda . We went to
look up Esmeralda but she wasn't home but her grandma let us in cuz she wanted
to give us food (she's not a member but loves feeding missionaries). And Miriam
was there visiting. We taught a little message and invited them both to church.
Which is kinda what we do with everyone but nothing ever really comes of it.
But Sunday came
and Miriam showed up! So we started teaching her and gave her a nap date the
first lesson. She has so much faith and loves the lord. We are so excited for
her.
Miracle this
week: yesterday we decided to look up an investigator who we haven't been
able to contact for almost 2 months. We have stopped by and called and never
made contact. This time was going to be the last try and then we were going to
drop her. We had an earlier appointment fall through so we decided to look her
up earlier than planned. We walked to her building and were pressing the
bell trying to get in when I saw someone walking out of the building that kinda
looked like her but I wasn't sure because I only meet her once, 2 months ago.
But she came up to us and said hi and told us that she couldn't meet now
because she had an appointment to go to but that we could come by later this
week. Even though she was hard to contact the Lord is very aware of her which
is why we showed up at exactly the time we needed to talk with her so we didn't
drop her.
I'm so excited for
this upcoming Conference weekend. It's such a blessing to be taught from on
high! I hope all of you are preparing yourselves and coming with a question
that can be answered through the power of the holy ghost. I hope you all have a
wonderful week! I love you.
Love, Hermana
Dobson

| You know it's your lucky day when the one door you need to knock on is on the top floor and there's no elevator |
