Nov 8, 2017 Working in the Rain

Hello all! I hope you've had a wonderful week! I sure have! One of my roommate's mom sent her Christmas music thus past week so we have all been listening to Christmas music whenever we are in the apartment. It's been awesome!

It rained on and off all week which means no one wants to let us into their apartments or come out to make it to appointments we set to have at the church but it was still a really busy week nonetheless.

I went on a really fun split with Sister StÃ¥hle! She's from Finland and is a temple square sister. But all the temple square missionaries get to serve 3 months in another, proseltying mission and she was assigned to come here. She just came last week. It was really interesting to talk with her. She even taught me a little Finish but I've completely forgotten it now!

We had stake conference this Sunday and it rained so only hardly anyone that we invited came but we did have 3 investigators there. Miriam came, she's a trooper.

And we also had Juana, a new investigator come shes really awesome! Shes actually a self referal. She used to go to church and take the discussions in florida but then she moved here and lost contact with the missionaries. She saw the elders in the train one day and told them she wanted to take lessons again! Shes so prepared! This we were able to teach her really quick and she accepted a baptismal date for the 31st of December! So we're really excited!

A miracle this week: a few weeks ago we saw a former investigator in the streets. When we had been teaching her she was not interested in learning or giving up some of her old habbits. When we saw her in the street we said hi and then she immediately asked us when we were coming over. We scheduled a time for this week. We went over and we were able to have a great lesson with her. She told us she has been working on her struggles with the word of wisdom. She asked for our help change. She finally wants to find out for herself if this church is true. And though it will be a long road for her to completely repent and change she her heart is finally starting to change. It was so awesome to be able to see Christ's atonement working in her life.

That's all for this week! I love you all and wish you a very wonderful week!
Love, Hermana Dobson
