Jan 3, 2018 Saying Goodbye to Hermana Blad and Hello to Hermana Chacon

Hermana Chacon and I

January 3, 2018

Hola Bonita familia! Feliz año Nuevo!
This week was full of adventures and new things!

I got to go back to Kingsbridge (Bronx)

for a day! That was awesome. My last companion Hermana Blad is training in that zone so we got special permission to go on a split there for a day so she could learn the area. It was so fun to be back in my old area. I got to see some members and investigators that I love!   It was really weird being back. It felt like I never lef

t.  I also was back with Hermana Morales for the day. She left this transfer so I was glad I got to say goodbye.

We also had a cool miracle there. We were in the elevator on the way up to an appointment. There was another lady in the elevator and I just felt to ask her how her Christmas was. When I did, she just started to cry. She has lost her father, husband and brother in the last year. (Her brother died a little over a month ago.) And this was her first Christmas without them. She said she just felt so depressed and didn't know how to keep going. We were able to get her contact information so that the sisters in the area can go back and teach her the Plan of salvation

Also, I got a new companion. She just came from the MTC on Monday! She's awesome! Her name is Hermana Chacón. She is from El Salvador! She's so awesome! She is already such an amazing missionary. She is so excited to be a missionary and she just rolls with all the crazy things we do as missionaries! She's really awesome! I'm obsessed! Her Spanish is so pretty I want to speak like her. She also has amazing English! She was studying at LDS Business College for a year and a half before she came out on her mission. Her whole family, Grandparents, parents, siblings. etc. are members.  Hermana Chacón really is so amazing. I'm so excited to be her companion!

That's all I have for this week. I love you all. I hope you have a wonderful week and are thinking about good New Year’s resolutions.

Love, Hermana Dobson
