Feb 21, 2018 God Doesn't Usualy Give Us An Answer if We're Not Willing To Act on That Answer

Pictures from the sisters Devotional that I didn't have last week

Hola mi familia como están? This week was transfers but nothing changed with me. Hermana Chacón and are still companions. So there's nothing new and exciting there but thus week has been so amazing!

We had a really awesome break through lesson with one of our investigators. Last week we asked her again if she would pray and ask heavenly father if this was true. She told us "sisters, I've been asking for 10 years. He doesn't ever give me an answer". So this week we talked to her about if she got her answer would she be ready to act on it and be baptized. She admitted that she wasn't. She was asking with the expectation of not having to change regardless of the answer. Both sister Chacón and I were able to share experiences of how we didn't receive answers to questions until after we were ready to act and that totally changed her. And though she hasn't accepted a baptismal date yet, she finally accepted the commitment to be baptized once she got her answer. It was so cool to watch the spirit work on her heart through the lesson and by the end all 3 of us were in tears. The spirit was so strong and even though we were sitting in the library we were also in a very holy place.

A miracle this week:  this week during weekly planning I almost dropped a potential in area book. I don't know why I didn't. I was frustrated with how Many times we had tried to contact her. We had gone by more than 6 or 7 times with no success. But as a result of all those attempts we had knocked on her neighbors door and and started teaching her as well. Then on Friday after a lesson we felt several times that we should go look up her neighbor. So we went and she wasn't home. I was a little bit bugged with the spirit for telling us to go look her up if she wasn't home. But because we were already there we decided to give Yenny's one more chance. So we knocked and she was actually home! It turns out her house had flooded so she had moved out for 2 months while it got fixed which is why she never answered the door. We had a really awesome lesson with her and I know that's why the spirit prompted Mr to go see the neighbor, because if I had been promoted to go see yenny, I probably would have ignored it. But the lord knew we needed to go there that night and he guided us to find her.

Anyway, I love you all and I hope you have a great week.

Con mucho cariño,
Hermana Dobson
