June 18, 2018 El Mejor y Más Feliz Año de Mi Vida

I was missing new york so I took a selfie to feel like I'm  back there.

Hey Everyone!

This week has been awesome! This week we had zone conference and it was President Smiths very last zone conference. Which was kinda sad but we got to have it I the mission home which was so special and very spiritual. At the end President asked if we would all share our testimonies with him and we all sat the living room of the mission home and bore some of the sweetest and most powerful testimonies of what we have learned to be true. I am so grateful to President Smith and the amazing guidance he has given to the mission for the last 3 years. I know he is truly called of God and he has truly helped my come closer to Christ. I am so grateful to have gotten to serve with him for the past year. It truly has been the best and happiest year of my life.

Miracle this week: a few weeks ago when on a Split in Stamford I got to meet one of their progressing investigators, Luisa, who is so prepared! At the end of that lesson she told she was moving to Norwalk. So it was so awesome that I could be there so she could meet at least one of the missionaries that would be teaching her in Norwalk. Well from the day she moved we lost all contact with her. She doesn't have a phone or Facebook or WhatsApp or anything and she had a new address that even she didn't know. The member that she had been living with in Stamford gave us very vague directions about where she lives and the Facebook 0f Luisas husband. We tried Facebook he never got on so we literally had no way to find here. So we literally took the vague directions and started tracting. We didn't find her. But then we felt that we should call her husband on Facebook. We did and by some miracle he was online and answered and we were able to get her address. So now we had an address but still no solid form of communication so we just knocked her door. And for 3 days we still didn't have luck with that. One time her not so missionary friendly roommate lied and told us she wasn’t home even though she was and the other times she wasn't home. But on  Friday after almost 3 weeks of no contact with the missionaries we got to teach her. And the biggest miracle of all is that for every day of those 3 weeks she didn't miss a day of reading the Book of Mormon or praying. She also was able to come to sacrament meeting for the first time and absolutely loved it. And she is so excited to keep learning. And has even started teaching her daughter who is still in Perú all the things that we teach her. I'm so grateful that Heavenly Father helped us find his precious daughter so that she can come unto Christ.

Love you all! Have a great week!
