We worked the giving
machines again and there was a problem with one of the slots so we opened it up
and took pictures with some of the purchasable items.

This is it folks! My very last weekly letter! This last year and a half has flown by and I can't believe it’s coming to a close. I have been reflecting a lot on my mission experience and I'm so grateful for this time that I had to serve the lord and the Spanish Speaking people here in New York. It has been so rewarding and such a testimony building experience to teach people and watch them make the necessary changes in their lives to come to know and grow closer to their savior. I too have come to know my Savior in a way I had never imagined. I love him and I'm excited to serve him for the rest of my life! #AlwaysAMissionary
A miracle this week: on Saturday we had 5 straight hours during the day when we didn't have any set appointments. That's really rare. We almost always have several appointments throughout the day. But it was awesome. Because we had no area in specific that we needed to be, we decided to go to the bottom of our area where we rarely go because no one we are currently teaching lives down there.
As we were planning for our day we realized there is a less active young woman named Khristal that lived down there that hasn't been to church since I've come. But we both felt impressed we needed to see her that day. We went to her apartment and turns out our record for her was wrong. And she doesn't live in that apartment. We didn't feel discouraged we knew the lord had brought us there for a reason. So we knocked the building thinking someone there was prepared and the reason we needed to be there.
No one in that building wanted to listen. Confused we went to see the next person on our list. They weren't home so we decided to knock the building. We knocked the first 4 floors and no wanted to listen. We debated leaving and trying to find a more receptive area. But ultimately we decided to just knock the last floor and be done. The very first door we knock someone answers us through the door asking who it is. Then low and behold Khristal opens the door and we have a lovely little lesson with her and just talk and help her feel loved. We invited her to come church and she actually came and really loved it. She had so many questions for us during the lesson and she said she wants to go home and study the plan of salvation some more on her own. I know the Lord knows each and every one of us so individually and personally. And even though we didn't know where Khristal lived He definitely did and he reached out to her through us in a moment that she really needed it.
I love you all so much and know that this church is true. I have seen too many miracles and too many changed people to ever deny that this is the Lord's work and that he is in even the tiniest of details. I'm am so grateful for the sacrifice of our Savior and that through him all can be made right! I love you and I'll talk to some of you in a few days!
Love,
Hermana Dobson
