Hello wonderful family!
As you may have already realized I'm emailing on Tuesday not Monday! Well lucky sister Thompson had her temple trip today so I've been on a lovely adventure in down town Manhattan.
I really do love it here in Inwood even though I've only been here 2 weeks. It's definitely the fastest I've learned to love an area and the people but I think heavenly father is blessing me with an added measure of love for this place so I can love it for as long as possible. We have some really amazing people we are teaching, as well some awesome recent converts and members.
This week has been amazing! We are teaching this darling 14 year old girl named Liya, who loves learning so much about the gospel. She is already such a great missionary and now we have started teaching two of her friends and she asked us if we could set up an activity that she could invite more friends to. We were all too happy to comply and with in two hours of us telling her yes and a day and time she had already invited 6 of her friends. And unbeknownst to us she announced her own baptism in the youth class on Sunday and invited everyone to come and support her. She is so prepared and so excited to keep learning! We love teaching Liya and watching her learn makes the work so fun!

| Our dinner appointment fell through and we were far from home and had no time. So we stopped at the nearest Bodega and bought something to eat with all the change we had. |

| Random side note! Christina got baptized! She's someone I was working with in Yonkers but I got transferred out just before her baptism. I'm so excited for her. It was so fun watching her faith grow over the months that we taught her. I'm so glad she made the choice to be baptized. |
