We had a chance to man The Giving Machines by the Manhattan Temples  So Awesome!

Familia! Happy December! These past couple weeks have been so amazing! We have been seeing so many Christmas miracles!

First off in Manhattan the church puts on this super cool Christmas concert at the chapel that's in the same building as the temple. It's called Carols on Columbus and across the 2 concerts there were almost 2 thousand people that came and they had all the missionaries serving in Manhattan man it. Sister Thompson and I got put on door duty so we got to talk to and see all those 2000 people that came in. It was super fun!

We also got to volunteer at the giving machines this past week. We only had a 3 hour shift but in those 3 hours almost $1800 was donated. It was cool to see people, especially those who aren't members pass by and open their hearts to those in need! There was one man who came by and swiped his card about 20 times and bought more than $850 worth of supplies to give to all 5 of the charities. We thought for sure he was a member of the church but when we talked to him he told us he wasn't but loves the campaign so he wanted to give! It was so cool!

Also I got to go to the temple today. It was my last time before going home next week. It was such a cool experience. We did an endowment session and then we went upstairs and did dealings and each departing missionary got to kneel at the alter with President and Sister Teuscher and do parent and child sealings. I went into the temple with a lot of mixed emotions but I came out with a lot of peace and tranquility. It was definitely something I needed.

A miracle this week! We got a refferal from Ecuador for this lady named Blanca Nieves. We were super excited and went to see her. Turns out she is a member her daughter just didn't know how to contact us any other way. But she is now living with her other daughter here in New York and she has two adorable teenaged Granddaughters who are not members but who have so much interesting in learning more about Jesus and Heavenly Father. The first time we were there we taught them how to pray and the 15 year old almost started crying and told us that she didn't know she could pray directly to God like that. They have both been praying ever since and love communicating with their heavenly father. Im so grateful that heavenly father put us in their path so that we can help them closer to Christ.

I love you all! Have an amazing week!

Love, Hermana Dobson

We had interviews in Harlem so we got to go there :)

Cute grafitti in the subway station

We had this dinner appointment that literally put 8 different dishes on the table and she expected us to eat it all. This picture was taken when we were half way through our second helping and no where near the finish line
