Nov 19, 2018 Estoy Agradecida

When sister Thompson went to the temple so we got magnolias pudding and then while she was there I went with another sister to the 9/11 Memorial and the Met. It was super fun.

Hola Familia

This week has been such an incredible one. With the holidays rapidly approaching the hearts of the people in New York are softening a little bit and we are seeing miracles!

We got our first snow this week. Everyone was telling us that it wasn't going to stick but we ended up getting about 5 inches and it definitely stuck. But it was great because it meant that no one was out on the streets so everyone was at home. Knocking doors this week super successful because of that. Normally more than half the doors we knock don't answer but we knocked for an hour and probably 25 doors opened and we got in 4 of them. So many miracles!

We also had the activity that Liya asked us to do and it was a huge success! Liya brought 4 of her friends and the elders brought 2 people they are teaching. We had two youth from the ward there and one of them brought his non member girlfriend. So in total we had 10 youth 8 that are non members all watching the restoration and then playing chair soccer. And they all loved it! Liya brought one of her friends with her to church because she liked the activity and wants to learn more. Also because we had so much success with activity and the young women's president just had a baby so she's not coming and she has no counselors to take over for her. Sister Thompson and I were called to be her counselors and to run young women's until she can come back and take over again. Which is fine because half of our teaching pool goes to young women's. So it works out great!

I'm so grateful for this time of year when hearts turn a little more towards Jesus Christ. I'm so grateful that I get to be a missionary here in New York. I wouldn't trade it for the world. I'm grateful for all the lives I see change and that Heavenly father let's me be a part of it. I'm so grateful for the gospel and all the blessings that come from living it. I'm also so profoundly greatful for my Savior and everything he has done for me and that through him I can have joy! I love you all have a great week! Happy Thanksgiving ️

This is one of us and Liya and her friends Marisol and Mabel. There apartments are too small for all of us so we sit on the stairs and teach them. They are all so cute and really have such a desire to learn. I love them so much!

We got our first snow storm
